Paul recommends you wear clothing that matches in tone, for example both wear light colors or dark. Long sleeves make a more formal looking portrait for indoors, but there are no steadfast rules. If you are comfortable in what you wear it will show through in your portrait.

Do not try a new hairstyle or perm too closely to the engagement session as you may not like the outcome.
Cover any blemishes with cover stick and apply evening makeup. Please use powder and bring it along so you may re-apply it through out the session as needed.
 
Men be sure to shave before the session, especially if you get a 5o’clock shadow. You will need to apply powder to reduce shine and cover stick if needed at the session.
